STAY FOR THE DETAILS

An inviting design

Designed by Melbourne creatives, Elenberg Fraser and Suede Interior Design, the spaces bring together rich textures of smoky blues, dove greys and signature honey gold, with playful details tucked at every turn.

Look a little closer and you'll find golden birdcages and our signature feathered friends, from the welcoming finch to the me-time owl and sociable flamingo. It's a design that is made to stand out from the crowd, blending refined, luxurious touches with an unstuffy, informal feel.

Outdoor terrace with vertical greenery, glass balustrade and views across Melbourne buildings

The building integrates lush landscaping into its architecture, creating a considered connection between the built environment and the city below. At street level, an active frontage and strong connection to the surrounding streetscape bring a sense of energy and interaction. Rising above, the distinctive tower forms create a series of silver diagonal ripples across the façade, giving the building a dynamic presence within the Melbourne skyline.

MELBOURNE HISTORY MEETS MODERN DINING

A nod to the past

Blacksmith Bar & Grill is located on the original site of the Cobb & Co stables, and its design pays tribute to this rich piece of Melbourne's history. The restaurant's name honours the blacksmiths whose craftsmanship was integral to building the horse-drawn carriages that helped establish the Cobb & Co transport empire during Victoria's gold rush.

Private dining room with long tables, grey chairs, floral arrangements and pendant lighting

This heritage is subtly reflected throughout the venue, with gold-accented interiors referencing the prosperity of the gold rush era and thoughtfully designed spaces inspired by the site's past. The hotel's private event space, Hammer Room, continues the blacksmith-inspired naming, while distressed timber flooring within the space adds warmth and a nod to traditional craftsmanship. Rather than recreating the past, the design reinterprets the site's history through a contemporary lens, celebrating its legacy while creating a modern dining and event destination.
